The prophet in his day is fully accepted of God and totally rejected by men.

Years back, Dr. Gregory Mantle was right when he said, "No man can be fully accepted until he is totally rejected." The prophet of the Lord is aware of both these experiences. They are his "brand name."

The group, challenged by the prophet because they are smug and comfortably insulated from a perishing world in their warm but untested theology, is not likely to vote him "Man of the year" when he refers to them as habituates of the synagogue of Satan!

The prophet comes to set up that which is upset. His work is to call into line those who are out of line! He is unpopular because he opposes the popular in morality and spirituality. In a day of faceless politicians and voiceless preachers, there is not a more urgent national need than that we cry to God for a prophet! The function of the prophet, as Austin-Sparks once said, "has almost always been that of recovery."

The prophet is God's detective seeking for a lost treasure. The degree of his effectiveness is determined by his measure of unpopularity. Compromise is not known to him.

He has no price tags.

He is totally "otherworldly."

He is unquestionably controversial and unpardonably hostile.

He marches to another drummer!

He breathes the rarefied air of inspiration.

He is a "seer" who comes to lead the blind.

He lives in the heights of God and comes into the valley with a "thus saith

the Lord."

He shares some of the foreknowledge of God and so is aware of

impending judgment.

He lives in "splendid isolation."

He is forthright and outright, but he claims no birthright.

His message is "repent, be reconciled to God or else...!"

His prophecies are parried.

His truth brings torment, but his voice is never void.

He is the villain of today and the hero of tomorrow.

He is excommunicated while alive and exalted when dead!

He is dishonored with epithets when breathing and honored with

epitaphs when dead.

He is a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, but few "make the grade" in his class.

He is friendless while living and famous when dead.

He is against the establishment in ministry; then he is established as a saint

by posterity.

He eats daily the bread of affliction while he ministers, but he feeds the Bread of

Life to those who listen.

He walks before men for days but has walked before God for years.

He is a scourge to the nation before he is scourged by the nation.

He announces, pronounces, and denounces!

He has a heart like a volcano and his words are as fire.

He talks to men about God.

He carries the lamp of truth amongst heretics while he is lampooned by men.

He faces God before he faces men, but he is self-effacing.

He hides with God in the secret place, but he has nothing to hide in

the marketplace.

He is naturally sensitive but supernaturally spiritual.

He has passion, purpose and pugnacity.

He is ordained of God but disdained by men.

Our national need at this hour is not that the dollar recover its strength, or that we save face over the Watergate affair, or that we find the answer to the ecology problem. We need a God-sent prophet!

I am bombarded with talk or letters about the coming shortages in our national life: bread, fuel, energy. I read between the lines from people not practiced in scaring folk. They feel that the "seven years of plenty" are over for us. The "seven years of famine" are ahead. But the greatest famine of all in this nation at this given moment is a FAMINE OF THE HEARING OF THE WORDS OF GOD (Amos 8:11).

Millions have been spent on evangelism in the last twenty-five years. Hundreds of gospel messages streak through the air over the nation every day. Crusades have been held; healing meetings have made a vital contribution. "Come-outers" have "come out" and settled, too, without a nation-shaking revival. Organizers we have. Skilled preachers abound. Multi-million dollar Christian organizations straddle the nation. BUT where, oh where, is the prophet? Where are the incandescent men fresh from the holy place? Where is the Moses to plead in fasting before the holiness of the Lord for our moldy morality, our political perfidy, and sour and sick spirituality?

GOD'S MEN ARE IN HIDING UNTIL THE DAY OF THEIR SHOWING FORTH. They will come. The prophet is violated during his ministry, but he is vindicated by history.

There is a terrible vacuum in evangelical Christianity today. The missing person in our ranks is the prophet. The man with a terrible earnestness. The man totally otherworldly. The man rejected by other men, even other good men, because they consider him too austere, too severely committed, too negative and unsociable.

Let him be as plain as John the Baptist.

Let him for a season be a voice crying in the wilderness of modern theology and

stagnant "churchianity."

Let him be as selfless as Paul the apostle.

Let him, too, say and live, "This ONE thing I do."

Let him reject ecclesiastical favors.

Let him be self-abasing, nonself-seeking, nonself-projecting, nonself- righteous,

nonself-glorying, nonself-promoting.

Let him say nothing that will draw men to himself but only that which will move

men to God.

Let him come daily from the throne room of a holy God, the place where he has

received the order of the day.

Let him, under God, unstop the ears of the millions who are deaf through the

clatter of shekels milked from this hour of material mesmerism.

Let him cry with a voice this century has not heard because he has seen a vision

no man in this century has seen. God send us this Moses to lead us from the

wilderness of crass materialism, where the rattlesnakes of lust bite us and where

enlightened men, totally blind spiritually, lead us to an ever-nearing Armageddon.

God have mercy! Send us PROPHETS!

Let It Rain

Today, the 45th president of the United States of America took the oath of office in the peaceful transferal of power. The rain held off until the moment the President took the podium to speak to the nation. As it began to rain, I remembered that rain is a sign of God's blessing. God is blessing America and its new president, Donald J. Trump.

After the president's speech, Evangelist Franklin Graham rose to give one of the benediction prayers. He noted: “Mr. President, in the Bible rain is a sign of of God’s blessing, and it started to rain, Mr. President, when you came to the [inaugural] platform,” Graham said. “And it’s my prayer that God will bless you, your family, your administration, and may he bless America.”

The Passing of Father Gregory Williams

I just learned yesterday of the September 28, 2016 passing of my former priest Father Gregory Williams of  the Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Liberty, Tennessee. My wife and I spent two years at the chanter's stand and altar learning from Father Gregory. He was quite the task master as he spared no detail about the proper liturgy in his patient, yet task-master manner. We are grateful for what we learned and for being allowed to serve with him for the time we did.

We offer our deepest condolences to Matushka Anastasia, Father Gregory's children, grandchildren and members of the congregation.

May his memory be eternal.

Cyrus was the only non-believer whom God called "His anointed." He is historic evidence that God uses whom He will to fulfill his purpose through history.

Those who know the man, Trump, in private say he has a sincere passion and love for the Christian people, and listens to religious leaders in sincere quietness and humility. Outwardly, often in his bombastic tone, he demands the nations of the world come to the aid of Christians whose rights are being oppressed and whose lives are being taken in genocide. He has proclaimed that he will aide them, stop the genocide and restore religious liberty in his own country. He has made a covenant to use the forse of might to "knock the hell" out of those who are killing Christians and "others" and to create an atmosphere where it is safe again even to say aloud, "Merry Christmas."

To accomplish this, he has had to tear down the political strongholds, the seats of power and finance and he has been successful in doing so. There is a hedge of protection around him and a power of authority that is unprecedented. The crowds and throngs of Americans who swarm to see him in person recognize that something is different, something is happening, and there is no lack of opinions on what this may be. But the majority of voters don't care that all is defined or lined out in policy papers. Past rules and criteria for choosing leaders do not apply. They sense that this man is the man, the anointed one (def: dedicated to the service of God) and that God is involved in what many are calling a "Movement."

I suggest that it is a Movement of God, with a leader that confounds the wise and the religious and the elite and the powerful. I suggest that this Movement of God is stirring up demons and setting them to flight. I suggest that Donald John Trump will be the next president of the United States of America and that the foundation on which this nation was founded will be rebuilt as a world that cannot be shaken. The calling, character and purpose of a chosen man is often found in his name. Perhaps Donald John Trump's name is a reflection of what is and what is to come:

John: God is gracious

Monks vs Missionaries

What monks are:

A man who has withdrawn from the world  for religious reasons, especially as a member of an order of cenobites living according to a particular rule and under vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. 

How monks function:

CLOISTER:  to seclude or shut up in or as if in a convent or monastery. "the monastery was where the Brothers would cloister themselves to meditate"

What missionaries are: 

A person sent (into the world) on a religious mission, especially one sent to promote Christianity in a foreign country. evangelist, apostle proselytizer, preacher, minister, priest.

How missionaries function:

EVANGELIZE:  to tell people about Christianity in order to persuade them to become Christians

Brothers! Monks are not Missionaries and Missionaries are not monks. To blur the lines is to fail to grasp the calling of each. In particular, Missions of Orthodox parishes are to be outward in evangelical efforts to reach people for Christ and bring people into the church. They are not to cloister and just pray. Monks do that. Pray yes, always and without ceasing, but cloister with just family members and a few faithful?--No!

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

If there was any doubt before, that you are not a Christian, you have erased all doubt with the recent statement:

Christians believe:

So you see, Mr President. There is no other salvation for mankind other than through Jesus, THE Christ, therefore, there is no other true  "religion" other than Christianity. Jesus was, is and shall ever be the only SON OF GOD. Muhammad was a false prophet. Islam is the great satan.

On Fame, Riches, And Fearing Powerful People

Listen, everyone! High and low, rich and poor, all around the world—listen to my words, for they are wise and filled with insight.

I will tell in song accompanied by harps the answer to one of life’s most perplexing problems:

There is no need to fear when times of trouble come, even though surrounded by enemies!  They trust in their wealth and boast about how rich they are, yet not one of them, though rich as kings, can ransom his own brother from the penalty of sin! For God’s forgiveness does not come that way. For a soul is far too precious to be ransomed by mere earthly wealth. There is not enough of it in all the earth to buy eternal life for just one soul, to keep it out of hell.

Rich man! Proud man! Wise man! You must die like all the rest! You have no greater lease on life than foolish, stupid men. You must leave your wealth to others. You name your estates after yourselves as though your lands could be forever yours and you could live on them eternally. But man with all his pomp must die like any animal. Such is the folly of these men, though after they die they will be quoted as having great wisdom.

Death is the shepherd of all mankind. And “in the morning” those who are evil will be the slaves of those who are good. For the power of their wealth is gone when they die; they cannot take it with them.

But as for me, God will redeem my soul from the power of death, for he will receive me. So do not be dismayed when evil men grow rich and build their lovely homes. For when they die, they carry nothing with them! Their honors will not follow them. Though a man calls himself happy all through his life—and the world loudly applauds success— yet in the end he dies like everyone else and enters eternal darkness.

Be Like A Tree

False Prophet Watch- Munday Martin- "Make Jesus Famous"

I was introduced to a young Munday Martin years prior to his becoming a Faith Healer. We met for lunch. At the time, he was wanting to be a filmmaker. Every video he has posted of "healings and miracles" are wrought with the power of suggestion. Not one of the videos show anything that is demonstrably a miracle and no evidence, other than people bending and moving and talking is offered. In other Munday videos, claims are made that a woman has a new gold filling appear in her tooth or cancer is gone. I have challenged Munday on his YouTube to offer evidence and bring the doctor's reports or follow-up interviews with the individuals in the videos. He has yet to do so.

Years ago, I attended a meeting in which an evangelist told an amazing, moving, story of a healing that had taken place in one of his meetings. The story was riveting and truly inspirational as to the power of God and the love of our savior for mankind. The only problem is, I had heard the exact story told in first-person by another evangelist. Such stories are the tools of these roving faith healers. When pressed, they admit they are just stories, but justify this practice by saying, it "increases people's faith." By any account, it is called, lying. Perhaps this is why Munday will not do follow-up reports? Perhaps the failure to validate the claims made in his meetings will cause people to lose faith? If the claims are false and no healings are taking place, in what or in whom is Munday inviting people to have faith?

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world."

When hearing of these miracles and seeing these video claims, one must weigh what the faith healer says has occurred with what can actually be witnessed or confirmed. Set aside the music, the use of a microphone and the emotions. Watch for subterfuge and suggestion. The following is Munday's YouTube heading, description and YouTube Video, which he invites others to "share". I am sharing so that you might see the unreliability of its claims. Notice he starts with a presupposition that the man has metal in his body - unverified. He says he "got word" of another miracle where a man's metal disappeared. He inserts that story in the description to influence what one is about to view. This is likened to Benny Hinn's practice of providing wheelchairs to attendees at his conferences. They do not require a wheelchair but are told it is for their comfort. In actuality, it is for the theatrical visual of seeing them rise from the wheelchair when Benny heals them.  

Munday invites people to come to the front if they want "metal to dissolve from their body." The only thing we actually see on the video is that the man is bending "better" with no pain. The claims are by his wife standing nearby, by not the man himself. So, what was so amazing in Munday's video and why is it a miracle? Test the spirit:

Watch this amazing miracle as Munday Martin calls out a word of knowledge for someone who has metal in their body in Phoenix, Az. This man had a METAL CAGE implanted in his back 2 months prior from a severe car accident! He came and was completely healed and made whole by the power of the Holy Spirit! His wife was crying as she witnessed God's healing power as her husband was now able to do what he COULD NOT do before! Munday just got word this year in 2015 that this same miracle happened in a meeting and a man with metal bones implanted all throughout his body from a car accident went to the doctor and all the metal was gone in his body, taking away 30 years of pain. Holy Spirit, we ask you to use videos like this to make Jesus famous. There is truly nothing impossible with our God! Feel free to share this amazing video!

Save The Lions, Kill The Babies

Do you remember the slogan, "Save the seals, Kill the babies"? We have a new animal to value over human life. "Save the Lions, Kill the babies." Same folks who practice this twisted morality are even calling for the death and torture of the American dentist who mistakenly killed with an arrow a protected lion in Africa. 

A while back, some pro-life Christians were peacefully protesting outside an abortion clinic. A pro-choice woman was screaming out, "Bring back the lions! Bring back the lions!" Apparently it is okay to use lions to kill undesirable humans for sport. Abortion is murder and those who advocate it are either uninformed or have a seared conscience.

Remnant ROCOR Blog Co-Administrator Commits Act of False Impersonation

JTO has confirmed that Minas Michael Christie, co-administrator with Father Gregory Williams and Joanna Higginbotham of the Remnant ROCOR blog, has falsely impersonated an Orthodox Clergyman on-line. Christie, who has been the subject of several recent JTO articles exposing his criminal background, multiple civil infractions, copyright infringement, and vile on-line gay chat, created a false Google ID using the initials and last name of Deacon Joseph Suaiden. Suaiden, a deacon in the Autonomous Orthodox Metropolia of North and South America and the British Isles, is the administrator of NFTU.net, an Orthodox news source that lists itself as "True Orthodox and Ecumenical News".

JTO first learned of Christie's deceitful act when he used the false Google ID in an attempt to post a comment on the JTO blog. 

The comment, that was not published, was from a D.J. Suaiden read: 

"Greetings Reader Nathan. Please visit my brand new blog and let me know what you think. I hope you will consider providing a link to it on JTO. I think it's important to get this information out to all True Orthodox. That said, I'd like you to know that I'm working on a JTO posting for it pending your approval. Perhaps you'll consider co-authoring the article with me. Thanks. http://nf-tu.blogspot.com."

The comment was not from Deacon Joseph Suaiden. It was from Minas Michael Christie posing as the deacon. The fake "D.J. Suaiden" was designed by Christie to falsely impersonate the deacon.  The comment, apparently intended for JTO administrator Nathan Lee Lewis, led Lewis to believe it was from the actual deacon. This caused Lewis to click on the link. The nf-tu blog or Nates From The Underground, contained mocking memes and other derogatory content. The nf-tu.blogspot.com address was a blog created by Christie to mislead by mimicking the NFTU.net that Deacon Suaiden operates. However, it is Christie's criminal use of the false personal ID that most clearly meets the following definition:

"False personation is the crime of falsely assuming the personal identity of another person to gain a benefit or to cause harm to the other person. Hence, the offense of false personation requires a deliberate effort to pass oneself off as another. It is also called false impersonation. “False personation is punishable as either a felony or a misdemeanor.”[ People v. Chardon, 77 Cal. App. 4th 205 (Cal. Ct. App. 1999)]."

Christie's potentially felonious act prompted the real Deacon Joseph Suaiden to issue a warning:

It’s not me. It’s Minas Christie with a fake Google account (I have no personal Google account, or email.)"

As of this posting, the false Google ID is still active, and has been since at least August of 2014.

Christie's nf-tu blog, using the actual logo of the NFTU.net, disappeared within a few days of its creation, but was replaced soon after by a new blog called KFTU or Journey To Knuckleheads From The Underworld. Christie's use of stolen photos on the KFTU blog has prompted pending legal action for copyright infringement.

Christie's nf-tu blog was briefly linked on the Remnant ROCOR blog. His KFTU blog is currently linked on Remnant ROCOR as a "Member Blog". Father Gregory Williams and Joanna Higginbotham who co-administer the Remnant ROCOR blog with Christie, are members of the Russian Church Abroad under Bishop Agafangel of Odessa, Ukraine. Minas Michael Christie, who also uses the on-line alias, MRXRISTIDIS, and the name Michael M Christie, is a member of a Genuine Orthodox Church in Florida.

JTO has confirmed that Christie's GOC priest is aware of his on-line conduct but has been unable to curtail Christie's illegal activity. It is unclear as to whether or not any official ecclesiastical action has occurred or is planned regarding Christie. What is clear, however, is that Father Gregory Williams and Joanna Higginbotham, co-administrators with Christie on the Remnant ROCOR blog, are aware of Christie's past and present criminal conduct but have yet to disassociate themselves from him.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only. 

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures. 

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.
