Please note: It is important that all official correspondence with the Archdiocese must be conducted in writing by postal mail.
Unfortunately there is no direct e-mail for the Metropolitan's office and my past attempts at communication by letter have gone unanswered. Some would fault BLOGs of this type as an inappropriate place to discuss such matters, but until parishioners of the Antiochian Diocese know that their one remaining Bishop has an ear for their concerns, it will have to do.

Douglas Cramer, the Editor of the Antiochian.org website, does have an email address. One might inquire to him as to why no explanation on the matter has been posted on OUR website.

That's weird. Sorry to hear about this.
ReplyDeleteNot so weird, just some of the unintended consequences (fruits) the of the rebellion of the "American Orthodox Church" zealots in the OCA. They have spooked both the Patriarchate of Antioch and their own Self-Ruling Metropolitan. They saw all of the former-Protestants in the ranks of their clergy and feared their renascent Protestantism that ironically is a result of the the very Eastern Rite protestant ethos that they themselves help to perpetuate in North America!
ReplyDeleteSo it is a power grab? So why insult the more bishops like Antoun, Joseph and Basil? I heard from a priest that the old-guard don't like Bishop Mark makes them keep office hours and other things priests are supposed to do, and he's more old school in his thinking. I'm not speculating, just saying...
