Updated JTO Comment Policy

Blogspot.com is a Google forum where JTO is hosted. The comment section allows for several scenarios as shown on the right.

The volume of readers in the last 30 days has been in the thousands and the interest in commenting has been extraordinary due to the vested interest so many have in the Father Matthew Williams/ROCOR matter.

The JTO Editor has personally moderated the comments prior to posting, from early morning to late at night.

Out of a desire to allow commenters the courage to speak and vent, anonymous comments have been allowed. JTO has rejected some comments that were too abrasive or not conducive to Christian conduct and has offered a mild rebuke or two along the way.  JTO has preserved those comments for a possible future editorial on godly Christian conduct and taming the tongue.

The JTO posts on this matter dates back almost seven years. It has been such a vindication for Carole Stephens and frankly for this JTO Editor to see a measure of accountability or at least the demand for it springing out of our efforts. FMW has been exposed and ROCOR is now being held accountable by the people they shepherd.

JTO fully understands that the recent exposing and public accounting of Father Matthew Williams' alleged crimes and of ROCOR's failure in pastoral leadership is still very raw and current. JTO will continue to post but will alter its comment policy for those who want to continue to comment about these matters. Remember, the JTO Editor can be reached via journeytoorthodoxy@gmail.com. The JTO Editor welcomes direct communication and will assist in any way possible.

Here are the changes in the JTO Comment Policy:

1. Comments will no longer be moderated by the JTO Editor although they will still be monitored. All posts will instantly be published.
2. Only commenters with Google Accounts will be allowed to post a comment. Like other forums such as FB, the name of the commenter will appear on their comment. Self-accountability will be the rule. Therefore, anonymous comments will no longer be posted.

Thank you for your continued participation in JTO and your support of our participation in bringing sexual predators in the church to account.
