John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
So there we have an apostle calling Jesus God.—— And then Jesus rebuked him and said “say no such thing!” Oh, wait, that’s not what happened next. The next verse says “Jesus saith unto him,’ Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed’”. Huh. Doesn’t seem like you’ve got a very good start here.
When you say "God" do you mean God or god? In any case you are saying theos. A term may be translated god but refer to judges, or any entity with perceived divine power. Only through a Trinitarian filter does one automatically think that Thomas is calling Yeshua, Yahweh. Study the scriptures not traditions.
