JTO Blog Editor, Nathan Lee Lewis, has a B.A. in Radio, TV, Film and a B.A. in Religion/Pastoral Ministries. He also is a certified Cinema Director, Film Producer and Line Producer. He is an award-winning writer, having received a First Place Award for Radio Special Feature from Arkansas Associated Press the recipient of a Gold Addy from the American Advertising Federation given for Communication Excellence. He was a news and talk show producer for a local CBS affiliate. Nathan was an ordained Protestant minister until the mid 90's when he began his interim Journey To Orthodoxy. He entered the Orthodox Christian Church in 2005 and served as a Reader in the Eastern Rite and a Cantor in the Western Rite. In 2022 after 17 years in the Orthodox Church, Nathan discovered the truth of the first century Christianity- Yeshua, the virgin-born human messiah, is the Son of God not God the Son, who claims Yahweh as his God and Father. The Trinity doctrine is a late invention influenced by the Roman emperors, forced church councils, Greek philosophies, and thrust upon the church by fiat and political maneuvering. Nathan could no longer adhere to the Nicaean Creed, or any unbiblical doctrine or creed birthed in those circumstances. Truly "To be deep in history is to cease to be Orthodox."
