Elizabeth and Matthew Williams |
In the wake of these revelations, it was discovered that Williams had been living separately from his wife and family for months, unbeknownst to his parishioners. Child services and law enforcement had reportedly visited the Williams farm to do a welfare check and to interview Elizabeth Williams, Matthew Williams' wife.
Over six years ago, JTO, posted an expose' on Williams' alleged rape of his 15-year-old goddaughter. Before posting the article, Rape and the Holy Man- The Alleged Sexual Crime of a ROCOR Preist, the JTO Editor corresponded with the Metropolitan of ROCOR (Russian Orthodox Chruch Outside Russia) and provided him with documentation confirming Williams criminal act of sex with a minor including information confirming that Father Matthew's wife knew of her husband's rape of his goddaughter and attempted to silence both the minor child and her mother. The Metropolitan brushed off the information and said the matter had already been investigated.
Recent events have also exposed what seems to be a systematic mishandling of sexual abuse by ROCOR. Members of Father Williams' own family reported their concerns about Williams' sexual crimes to the ROCOR hierarchy as early as 2019. The hierarchy allowed Williams to remain a priest until recent events were made public. Rather than have their priest report to law enforcement, he was reportedly removed to a monastery and was seen attending an Orthodox Church in another state.
JTO has published numerous articles and updates related to the story and will continue to provide information as it becomes available.

ReplyDeleteHe's still a priest.
The Metropolitan will not put this before Moral Court for him to be defrocked until he is in the criminal court system. Now that a warrant has been issuesed they will move on this. Now don't think they will do it quickly because they don't know what that even means. I am also wondering if there is documented proof that the Metropolitan was told in 2019 and Failed to protect this flock from a Narcissistic Predator who has mental health issues, if he will be charged for failing to report the abuse to law enforcement? Is that even a possibility?
DeleteThe metropolitan has silenced sex abuse cases before so I wouldn't count on it.
DeleteJTO refrains from posting any information without trustworthy corroborating witnesses and/or documentation. Previous posts show such, relating to a close family member's 2019 correspondence with the ROCOR hierarchy. However, JTO offers news, editorial, and opinion. The nature of each post is usually indicated by words such as "reportedly," "sources say," "allegedly," documentation, or simply a note at the top stating that it is a JTO editorial opinion or note. In the case of JTO's participation in the exposure of clergy sexual abuse, which is cloaked in subterfuge and met with personal attacks and intimidation, JTO uses all appropriate forms of communication to bring fidelity to an adulterous church.
DeleteAre you going to post the warrant information so we can check for ourselves? Did your source not offer proof? If the warrant info is public, please share then. Nearly everything that's been said or posted here has been a giant nothing burger and your "sources" don't ever seem to have real proof. We're tired of getting jercked around over this.
DeleteSo if this had never made it to a criminal complaint would the bishops have done nothing on their own??????????????
DeleteBro, someone posted the Bristol and Scott county links. Call them yourself.
DeleteBro, it's not unreasonable to expect the editor to have used the information the "source" gave to check to make sure there's actually an active warrant and not just using more of this drama to get attention on his flat earther non-trinitarian blog.
DeleteSome of you guys are gullible. Either tell us which county it was issued from so we can check ourselves or stop posting rumors editor. Scott county doesn't have it and I'm starting to think the editor doesn't actually have any reliable sources and has been just stringing us along for months.
Yea bro. It’s not like it’s public record bro
DeleteBro you could actually try to pursue the knowledge you seek bro
Bro you could actually try to be open minded and not shut out views that have merit just because they don’t follow your faith bro
Bro, this attitude is the reason the pedophilia was able to hidden for so long bro
Bro try not to stick your head in the ground and say everything is fine even when the world is burning bro
Bro bro bro bro
If it's public record, where is it?
DeleteIf it's public record, please point the public to where they can find the record. Scott county doesn't have it. I left Orthodoxy, this isn't related to faith. It's related to not wanting to get my hopes up that something is finally happening to get a predator off the streets.
DeleteIn Virginia, cities are independent of the counties. It is in the midst of Washington County, not Scott County.
DeleteThank you, I will try Washington county. I don't understand why a simple request was so controversial.
DeleteNathan, for the sake of the transparency that we asked of the accused I will do the same and leave it at this.
DeleteI paid to have a Public Records Search on Matthew. It is the right Matthew I searched with his names of immediate relatives that were listed associated with him.
Depending on when the Warrant was issued it could take a few days to reach PRS but at the moment there are NO arrest warrants for the man.
I pray that I am right and there is one and it’s just taking a long time to be recorded electronically.
Please when claims like these are made. It only takes a few dollars to fact check your sources.
Some counties do not have on line searches. If you want to know go there get a public information request and get a copy of the warrant.
DeleteAnon@ 10:30 : You forgot to mention the 911 three buildings free-falling into their own footprints (planned detonations). What good are the "flat earther" "non-trinitarian" "heretic" ad hominems without that one? When you have done your research (years worth) then get back to me. Real eyes realize real lies or "Be diligent to present yourself approved before God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." Or you can just shout "heretic"! It's a lot easier.
DeleteLord have mercy
DeleteThis is the first of several arrest warrants that will eventually ensnare the canon defying ones in the net of justice!
ReplyDeleteGlory to God!
Consider that you just tipped him off so he can flee the country. Great work!
ReplyDeleteTampering with an active investigation for clicks, not exactly a Rhodes scholar.
DeleteTSA has access to NCIC and can detain him and isn’t he on an FBI watchlist anyways?
DeleteTSA is notoriously bad about this. Watchlists aren't no-fly lists. People fly with warrants all the time. This is one of the most irresponsible articles I have ever seen.
DeleteReporting a public arrest warrant is not irresponsible, it’s transparency, unlike anything ROCOR or the Williams has given anyone. If he chooses to flee, that’s not on the messenger. It’s on him. Maybe direct your outrage at the accused rather than those that have been fighting for accountability for a decade now.
DeleteIt's irresponsible if this article keeps him out of jail.
DeleteThere is a lot of irresponsibility involved and none that the editor is answerable for in this. Light exposes darkness.
Deletehttps://www.scottcountyvirginiasheriff.com/
Deletehttps://bristolcityjail.org/police-department/
Someone call these offices tomorrow and let us know.
FMW was informed of the warrant ahead of this publication.
DeleteSo Nathan informed him to give him warning.
DeleteI don’t believe Nathan did anything of the sort. I believe FMW knew before Nathan. However, FMW should get a criminal attorney and turn himself in. Hiding from a warrant never turns out well.
DeleteTurns out Nathan may have made the whole thing up.
DeleteNot Nathan per se, but I have a good idea who the source is and yes. That person is not doing this professionally and is now fumbling the course of justice
DeleteSure, just like Elizabeth did when she didn’t go straight to the cops.
DeleteAnonymous 1:34... Do tell who is the source? Just curious if you are part of the system of abuse..
DeleteIn fairness, I assumed he fled the country immediately. He had ample time.
DeleteWhy would he flee if he knows himself to be innocent.
DeleteNo I am not part of the church.
DeleteClicks, tampering and tip-offs? JTO is not monetized but thanks for your clicks, although I'm not sure what to do with them. The only tampering has been perpetrated by FMW and his wife, Elizabeth. FMW tampered with his 15-year-old goddaughter. He reportedly tampered with his own young daughters. Elizabeth tampered with the mother of the 15-year-old he allegedly raped. Both of them tampered with the 15-year-old victim to silence her. It worked for many years. Now he is being brought to justice. The name and phone number of the detective handling the case and the warrant is public knowledge, as are warrants. I think law enforcement is doing the tip-off. One of the benefits of this posting is to leave his ROCOR enablers no excuse. They must turn in their beloved priest, now that a warrant has been issued. Harboring a fugitive is a crime.
ReplyDeletePlease publish the warrant! We want to see it!
DeleteSeconded. More information would be enlightening. Is he still reportedly puttering about in Jordanville/Mark Mancuso’s parish? Has the Metropolitan communicated any further to the flock regarding William’s status as a cleric?
DeleteNo, no one has said a word, Father Mancuso hasn't shown up one time since statements were take to offer any kind of pastoral care to anyone in the church, other than telling people to sit down and shut up we have heard nothing from our beloved Hierarchy.
DeleteMancuso also told us parishioners that Matthew's actions were our fault, and if we didn't call him Fr. he'd yell at us. I wish I was joking
DeleteHave you actually verified with law enforcement that a warrant actually exists? Do you know what county in VA this is filed under so we can access it? Have you spoken to anyone from the State of Tn to see where they are on charges for thr crimes committed in Blountville on church grounds? I pray this is true, and that we can put this pack of human trash behind us, where they all belong
DeleteThe priest in Fletcher has thrown so many people out of his parish for questioning his antics it's become a joke in the region
DeleteBlountville is in Sullivan County, Tennessee, if you want to check. (lived there many moons ago)
DeleteDon’t they live in VA though?
DeleteMark Mancuso is a very bad man with very bad friends
ReplyDeleteStay away from this synod of fools
Not even close to the first time Mancuso has helped cover these things up!
ReplyDeleteIf you have kids, especially daughters, GET OUT OF ROCOR.
Spill the beans!
DeleteWhat if I want my future daughters to be treated as second class citizens or raised borderline illiterate to just pop out babies. Thats the subculture that was created at St Tikhons by this lovely family pictured. Not to mention the coverups by the men in leadership….
DeleteSeriously, what else has Mancuso done? That dude gives me MAJOR creeps.
DeleteHe has issues in fletcher NC as well as this church. I am not sure what is going on there but people have said there is some shady stuff going on there. He gives me thr ick!
DeleteThe priest in Fletcher has lived with a woman for years who isn't his wife and the parish is a financial black hole. Mancuso doesn't care because the synod doesn't own the property. Seems all these dudes care about after moscow is cash and real estate. Christ is an after thought
DeleteFletcher needs its own investigation, which won’t happen. Synod doesn’t own the building just the antimins. What can they hold over that priest’s head to get him in line?
DeleteThe Fletcher church is a mess but I think St Tikhons Williams Family Scandal is racing to the top.
DeleteI took my family out of that church in Fletcher like many others have also done. We're going to the Greek church now but praying that God will correct this horrible stuff happening in rocor it's pretty unbelievable
DeleteFletcher has a priest openly cohabitating with a married woman and nothing has happened. This reflects poorly on the parishioners, bishop, and parish council.
DeleteThe priest there also begs you to search your couch cushions for coins and takes libations after the fellowship meal.
DeleteGuys, the lesson here is clear. Don't abandon the faith...but stay away from ROCOR. These people don't care about the canons at all. Lord have mercy!
DeleteI hadn't heard about Fletcher. I know he did some shady stuff in Charlotte, though—and a priest there was just suspended. I see a pattern.
ReplyDeleteBased on the behavior of those accusing Fr. Matthew, a conviction would seem doubtful.
ReplyDeleteWhy is that?
DeleteWhen you constantly push victims away and instead of using compassion and empathy, they will begin to turn to anger.
DeleteIf no one bothers to listen to you when you are kind, why are you mad when they begin to shout?
The anger is gone, all we want is justice and peace of mind that these False Shepherds are put awa.
They should only care if law enforcement believes them.
DeleteThe victims should only care about convincing the 12 members of the jury who will hear Fr. Matthew’s case.
ReplyDeleteDon't even get me started on the creepy arranged marriages in the southern diocese that Mancuso encourages....lots of girls getting married to 45 yr old men on their 18th birthday
ReplyDeleteWhat!?!? This is a thing?
Delete10:04 yes. His own daughter even.
DeleteOooooh yeeeeaaah this is a thing. Girls on the proverbial auction block
DeleteThat also happened within the Williams family. They would marry off their kids at 15 if they could.
DeleteSo Mancuso auctions off his own daughters?
DeleteThat is just a lie. None of their children were "married off" at 15. Please stop the victim shaming these girls did nothing wrong. Trying to shame them is even more disgusting than Mathew.
DeleteNo one is blaming the girls. The concern is about the culture created by the adults, where early marriage is encouraged and even romanticized. I’ve personally heard Matthew and Elizabeth say they’d be fine with their daughters marrying at 15. That’s not “shaming” the girls—it’s holding the parents accountable for pushing that mindset. If anything, standing up against it protects these girls and other girls trapped in ROCOR from being treated like breeding stock instead of being given a full education and a real choice.
DeleteThe situation in Fletcher has been blown out of proportion. A man became too mentally ill to care for his family. The wife and children have taken temporary shelter in the rectory so they aren't homeless. He lives elsewhere. No one is cohabitating. The priest there has taken in many parishioners over the years, men women and children, who are in imminent danger from homelessness and mental health crises.
DeleteMatthew did those same deeds and one should ask those people their experiences and what it cost them.
DeleteIt has cost many everything.
Delete10:48 Three plus years is temporary shelter? Fletcher is so cooked.
DeleteName one other family given more than a month. The "children" of the "sheltering family" are now all of age (also married off the girls at 18 to significantly older men).
Is it "out of proportion" that the priest buys her clothing? Shares cups and spoons with her? Or that she sits at the head of the table with the priest? That she receives a church pascha basket? That she is mistakenly referred to as matushka by people who don't know? Or how about that little fun fact that she's the treasurer despite being completely dependent on the church for years.....
But really Fr. Mark M is to blame because he's known about both of these situations for years. Someone shine that light on his hard drives.
3:09 I can name at least two other families sheltered for over a year. I have eaten off his spoon as well. He has bought my family gifts. The youngest child is still in high school. We get a financial report every year. These are shallow complaints.
DeleteIf you've actually convinced yourself that it's normal for so many god loving families to be expelled from a parish, I don't know what else there is to say. Definitely not a normal part of a healthy parish.
DeleteNathan,
ReplyDeleteI would advice you to spread this to major news sources. This singular blog is not doing anything outside the scope of St. Tikhon.
The blind faith that ROCOR followers have is so pervasive. You have been largely ignored by the rest of the church on the basis of your own faith.
You are claimed as a heretic so your news does not carry weight.
Go to larger sources, spread the word, you have done enough work to pressure the evil outside of one House of God. Now is the time to oust the rest of the corruption. This will not happen unless you bring to light to the rest of the world what is happening.
Agreed. I don’t know what further resources Mr. Lewis has at his disposal, but in the spirit of gratitude for his efforts till now I would also like to second the need for more exposure than just this blog. Sarah Riccardi-Swartz would be a good person to talk to.
DeleteI agree. This needs to go to a national news source and let the chips fall where they may. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. It needs to blow up to get all the evil in ROCOR exposed. From the abysmal Failure of our beloved Metropolitan to protect his flock from a known narcissistic predator, a man who he knows personally. They were roommates.. So there is a life long history there. It is clear to everyone at the church that they will protect a child predator and shunn anyone who doesn't agree with their talking points.
DeleteMany of his victims of pastoral abuse are still being abused today by orders of Mancuso. It is a very ugly and disturbing dynamic currently happening at St. Tikhon. May God have Mercy on us all
I wish someone had recorded the homily Mancuso gave that blamed the whole parish for what FMW did. That's reason enough to leave ROCOR
DeleteCare to give the bullet points? I’m having a difficult time trying to imagine the mental gymnastics for that one.
DeleteHe basically said that the parish held the blame for creating an environment where this could happen. Gave some metaphor. Also told us that if we called Matthew by his name (instead of "Fr. Matthew") he would chastise us.
DeleteI see the Fletcher yes men have appeared. Temporary? The woman living in Fr. Stephen's rectory is young, conventionally attractive, able bodied and has been there for years! Taken in parishioners??? Have you seen the affidavits from all the people he's thrown out???? I guess her husband is mentally ill because he said the priest stole his wife??
DeleteRocor parish turned cult with a bunch of do-boys who will do anything to get ordained
Not all disabilities are visible. I would be careful who you judge as "able bodied".
DeleteMancuso told us that fr. Matthew was "the real victim" because "the devil"
ReplyDeleteJudgement day is real yall
Did he ever acknowledge Carole Stephen’s daughter or just his sins against his own kin?
DeleteJTO refers you to the 2018 article Rape and the Holy Man. Carole Stephens gives an account of her phone conversation with both Matthew and Elizabeth, where Elizabeth allegedly says she knew she shouldn't have left Matthew alone with the daughter, and offers to "assist" Carole financially. Carole notes that Matthew was careful not to admit anything, however, he does not rebuff his wife's statement.
DeleteI wasn’t clear. I meant, did he (Mancuso) acknowledge or admit anything concerning Williams previous allegations or only those his daughters brought forth?
DeleteThey all cover up for each other.
DeleteMancuso's job is to not admit anything. Think of him as an HR rep for the church. His job isn't to help people, it's to protect his boss.
DeleteAll local news outlets and National news out let's have been sent all the information I have as well as links to JTO blog, the Facebook post about this, and I will provide them with any and all written correspondence I have.
ReplyDeleteI hope they also shine a light on the Carole Stephens incident and the priests wifes role in silencing the victim.
DeleteAll these comments about Fr. Matthew’s alleged arrest warrant appears to be more hope than fact. If Matthew’s accusers aren’t found believable there may never be any charges.
ReplyDeleteIf it’s the truth then they have nothing to fear about “appearing believable.”
DeleteThe proof of an arrest warrant will be his mug shot.
DeleteIf a group of people think the rape of a 15yo girl is acceptable, but you yourself know it’s wrong. Then when you speak up they pressure you, spiritually, emotionally and maybe even physically that you’re wrong. (This is all gaslighting, which is also abuse driving you to doubt yourself, your beliefs and self)
DeleteWouldn’t you also be worried to believed? Because maybe you are wrong, maybe you are just being to judgmental, maybe maybe maybe. This will forever pervade every thought and action in your mind.
Then you find others, who also see the wrong, now you’re not alone. But your new group is still outnumbered by the blind faithful. So now you’ve had enough, you cry to the outside world of the evil you see. And something happens and people OUTSIDE of your personality cult are also on your side.
Yes, they are right to be worried.
They’ve been abused for so long they don’t know how to believe themselves anymore after years of abuse.
Amen anon @6:01. Other victims are watching this travesty. They're seeing how the church and other parishioners treat them when they report abuse. I hope they all come forward, despite the risks. God help them!
DeleteAs long as victims are okay with being ostracized, they should come forward. They'll be shamed by their communities, abused again by people they thought were friends, and kicked out of their churches, but they should totally come forward!
Delete@6:12
DeleteSpot on. The truth will prevail though.
Anon 6:09 if you’re speaking of his wife being a victim, no one has questioned if she suffered some type of marital trauma from Matthew, that goes with the territory. We have questioned her lack of action, her part she played in silencing her goddaughter and Carole, and the recent bad-mouthing of Carole to discredit her (what happened to women protecting women as she is asking this from people now?), how she has failed miserably from her civil duty in contacting law enforcement and thus letting Matthew roam freely around parishioners and their children all while she knew. Deflecting her civil duty to the church is shirking her responsibilities as a parent and citizen and as a part of the church. We live in America, not an Orthodox nation, by giving her responsibility to the church has perpetuated the “cult” stereotype. Her and her families actions and behavior towards anyone asking these matters has been venomous and a campaign to paint herself as only a victim. She has lost her power at the church and her actions have lost any sane minded people that would have supported her.
Delete6:18
DeleteNo I am not speaking as if Elizabeth is a victims. Her sacking of the church and the donations given to the church for Hurricane Helene victims was more than a straw on the camels back.
I was immediately referencing the Stephen’s girl. She was fifteen and the same age of the Williams daughter when she got molested as well.
Taking back items on loan after being kicked out after reporting sexual abuse really isn't a villain arc, but go off boo.
DeleteYeah boo, like the car that was donated to the church, not the Williams, but Elizabeth is driving it now? It was in good shape once it was donated now it looks like it’s been through the outback.
DeleteYou mean the Vibe that Matthew wrecked 6 times?
DeleteIs her filthy house because of Matthew too?
DeleteThe rectory that was lived in by hurricane survivors at the time of the complaints of clutter?
DeleteLet’s not pretend the hurricane survivors made the place messy. Elizabeth’s living conditions were already filthy before they ever moved in. Blaming displaced families for the state of that house is just another way to dodge accountability for what was already a longstanding issue.
DeleteWhat point are you trying to make? Elizabeth's kids deserved to be molested because the house was messy?
DeleteDon’t twist words just because the facts are inconvenient. No one said a messy house justifies abuse, that’s your sick leap, not mine. What I said is Elizabeth was known for keeping a filthy house before any hurricane survivors moved in, and trying to rewrite that as martyrdom is dishonest. You don’t get to hide behind child victims to dodge every uncomfortable truth about her.
DeleteAnd let’s not forget: Elizabeth is now driving a car that was donated to the church, not to her personally. Funny how the moment she got kicked out, suddenly the line between what was hers and what belonged to the church got real blurry. But sure, keep deflecting with outrage while she benefits from donations meant for others.
Oh, so you just have a license to heap abuse on her. This is you having an outlet for anger, not about justice.
DeleteIf you think any criticism of Elizabeth is ‘heaping abuse,’ maybe ask yourself why her actions can’t stand up to even basic scrutiny. No one’s inventing anything. People are pointing to patterns that have existed for years.
DeleteThis isn’t anger, it’s exposure and refusing to let revisionist sympathy erase a pattern of exploitation. Elizabeth lived in filth long before the hurricane, drove off in a donated vehicle meant for the church, and has consistently blurred the line between victimhood and entitlement. If that makes you uncomfortable, it should.
So you have had an axe to grind for years, and now have a chance. I'm not saying you're wrong, but this is conflation and probably not the right forum.
DeleteYou say I’m not wrong, but then call it an axe to grind and say this isn’t the right forum. That’s a contradiction. Either the truth matters, or you’re just uncomfortable that it’s finally being said out loud. Elizabeth’s patterns aren’t new, they are finally being called out. Calling that ‘conflation’ is a weak attempt to blur what’s painfully clear.
DeleteSo what’s your point? That truth should only be told quietly, or not at all when it’s about her?
If you tell me that your house was robbed, and I point out that you're illegally parked, I'm the bad guy in that interaction.
DeleteAt this point, it’s clear you’re not engaging in good faith and I’m not here to discourse with delusion. Believe whatever version of reality helps you sleep, but don’t expect the rest of us to play along

I suggest you take a debate class and learn to argue objectively. It is by the first amendment that you still are able to argue in such a nonsensical and emotional manner.
Every time a point is made by the person you are arguing with you respond with an argument that does not further your ideas in fact it only shows the lack of knowledge and understanding of the evidence ie the emails and the ousting of a bad source.
You like to use big words to mask your lack of intelligence in understanding what is happening plainly in front of you. If you wish to live the lie that Elizabeth is innocent then go ahead. But attempting to shout down an opposing view point on an “apostate blog that you don’t read” will only show how much you don’t really want to know.
None of this is debate at all, this is clearly a personal vendetta with no relation to any accusations of abuse. Every discussion about Matthew's guilt or lack thereof seems to be derailed by these people obsessed with his wife.
Delete"No I am not speaking as if Elizabeth is a victims. Her sacking of the church and the donations given to the church for Hurricane Helene victims was more than a straw on the camels back."
This statement clearly implies that Elizabeth is not a victim because she took donations from the church (that were opened up to everyone). None of this relates to Matthew's guilt in any way.
You don’t get to gaslight people by pretending legitimate questions about Elizabeth’s credibility are some personal vendetta. She made herself central and wrapped it all in a martyr complex, her own “personal Golgotha.” No one is obsessed just observant. And if her behavior has made it harder to trust anything coming out of that household, this isn’t for the people pointing it out to shoulder, that’s consequences of her actions.
DeleteTalking about Elizabeth doesn’t mean we think Matthew is innocent. It means we’re capable of holding more than one thought in our heads. You should try it.
@11:26
DeleteHello I’m the person you are quoting here. I do not know how you quoted me but still did not understand that her sacking of the church was only a straw.
Her actions following the fallout and presently do not point to a grieving victim.
I assume you are friends with her on social media.
Why did she say she was ready to date? Don’t you also know the statistics of SA with stepfathers? Statements like these do not point to a woman who was a victim.
As a grieving woman, why would you deem it necessary to take a vehicle gifted to the church and then refuse to leave it there?
Why would a grieving victim insert her son back into a church she was barred from?
Yes yes, consumable items were permitted for the church to give out. But what about the generators? The car is a big one obviously, they were not given to the Williams in name. It was given to St. Tikhon.
These actions are all inconsistent with a woman who is hurt and broken from the news of finding out her daughter was hurt by her husband.
To make it more clear on why I don’t think she was a victim.
When this all started it was news that Elizabeth was part of the party who coerced and intended to buy out the Stephen’s daughter’s silence on her SA.
If we are believing women why didn’t we start with the Stephen’s girl years ago. Why are we only doing it now? Is it because she was Matushka and her title holds more value to you than some random girl?
That’s gross.
Matthew’s guilt is obvious, but a monster like this can only get away with his personality for so long only with help. It is now evident that Elizabeth was the help until it was her own children that got hurt.
Anon 11:26
DeleteLet’s think about this. If you believe Elizabeth’s version of events, that Carole is “crazy” and the rape didn’t happen to her daughter, then by that same logic, you must also believe Matthew is innocent of harming his daughters??? I personally believe both instances of harm occurred but the dismissal and willful blindness to any questions surrounding his wife is a logical hole.
You can’t dismiss one mother’s cries for justice while fully embracing another’s. Why is it unacceptable to question Elizabeth’s past alleged role in silencing victims but at the same time you can wholeheartedly accept the current accusations?
Is it really so hard to believe that Matthew could have committed both acts he’s been accused of? And if the incident involving Carole’s daughter is true, then we also have to take seriously Elizabeth’s alleged role in silencing that victim.
Why is it that some people believe Matthew’s daughters were harmed but can’t believe that Carole’s daughter was, too? Why does belief stop short when the uncomfortable possibility arises that Elizabeth may have coerced a young girl into silence?
The accounts of both Carole’s and Elizabeth’s daughters strike me as credible. While I don’t take every word from Carole or Elizabeth at face value, there’s a clear sense that both are speaking truth—though understandably leaving out details that reflect poorly on themselves.
DeleteFor anyone who once doubted that anything occurred in 2004, recent developments would be hard to ignore. It's difficult to extend the benefit of the doubt twice.
Carol's daughter has made no public claims. These claims have always came from Carol. As to the Williams daughters, if sexual abuse happened, why was law enforcement not called when it was first discovered.
DeleteIf I had to guess, they publicly discouraged the idea that legal action would happen so FMW wouldn't think he should escape to Belarus, where he has tons of connections, especially as legal action clearly takes a long time. Could be something else though, who knows.
DeleteBecause the wife didn’t call any LEOs. Cult Red Flag ,keep it in the church mentality, environment for concealing crimes. As far as I know there hasn’t been any public statement from Matthew’s daughters, which some are minors so their privacy is to be given and healing shouldn’t be made public. Perhaps in private conversations Matthews daughters have stated such but on that blog her son in law made there was no statement such as “I experienced sexual abuse from my father.” Elizabeth is the one who contacted only church leadership on behalf of her daughters, much like Carole did (Carole attempted to pursue civil authorities not just church when she was certain but by that time her daughter was of age if I recall this blog correctly.)
DeleteHey @ 3:38, stop feeding the trolls. They need someone to hate, let them hate. You can't change their minds, nor can anyone else. All we can hope is that they never find themselves in a situation where they need to be believed.

DeleteThank you for saying what many are afraid to say! IDGAF what these keyboard warriors think or say. He is evil, Mancuse is nothing more than Nicholas' henchmen, Evil, extremely weak man and a horrible shepherd. Metropolitan has know since 2019 that Mathew likes fondling his daughters and let him continue telling victims to pray, stay loyal, stay obedient and Shut up. I hope Moscow removes his evil ass, and I pray he is charged for failure to protect and failure to report documented abuse to civil authorities. I pray that He is held criminally liable and get arrested as well. What a perfect ending gto this evil shit show. ROCOR has become a joke in the Orthodox community as a whole.

DeleteIf he had any he would have published it by now. I think he's just repeating gossip. Maybe it's true, maybe not.
DeleteThere is no online access if you want to know call them up do a public information request and get it. Those of us who know don't need your validation
DeleteLots of parishioners heard fr mancusso say he told everyone to leave church property at st micholas
DeleteSo those bashing Fletcher and “the woman” living with the Priest are bearing false witness and thank God, the judge of all will handle it. Those who bash, left the parish because they got their feelings hurt or they caught the correctness disease that Father Seraphim Rose speaks about. Some are very new converts but seem to think they know better than anyone else there and have decided to spread all falsities in order to make war because that’s what they do. Some of these people shit stir and tried to stir shit up there and didn’t get their way. Some others who are not there anymore had hurt feelings but instead of sitting with the Priest, though invited, decided to bash, pretending to be pious Orthodox victims when they are just wolves in sheep’s clothing. The “woman” was homeless and they knew this just like they know the Priest doesn’t live with her or her family. She still has two sons and one of them is still underage that live with her while the other works. How about all those who like to get involved and stir shit and lies go CONFESS and REPENT now. I know you think your are on some kind of mission from God, and have became delusional but you know the lies you spread, everyone who knows these people know who you are and know what kind of liars you are. You are embarrassing yourselves. Lord have mercy I pray God will reach your hardened misguided hearts and minds before you get so deep in your own mess, you really can’t tell truth apart from the lies you have conjured. Those who have personal vendettas against that Priest and parish need to learn how to settle it correctly, not this back bashing and biting. Lord have mercy, I never thought I’d see the day when a bunch of grown “Orthodox Christians” sit around and spread gossip and rumors.
ReplyDeleteAh yes the ol’ Rumors and Gossip argument.
DeleteTrying so hard not to show your skeletons that are identical to the Catholic Church.
Is gossip and rumors hurtful? Yes.
It is however a symptom of the real disease running rampant.
How long have predators been able to run amok and still run amok because gossiping is a sin?
Using this argument to silence fellow Christians because they see wrong, and saying their souls are damned because they aren’t given any information to work with is delusional.
I am no longer speaking from just a Christian view. You know who else liked to silence the voice of the opposition? Tyrants.
People are allowed to speak and allowed to talk to each-other and ask questions when those in authority attempt to silence. But keep trying to shut people down for talking.
The Streisand Effect will only make it worse. Not letting people talk or ask questions will only have more questions and “gossip” appear.
Did Father Steven Webb know that Mathew was a pedophile?
DeleteEveryone knew that he was accused of rape of his 15 year old God Daughter and covered it up
DeleteHow is Fr. Matthew a pedophile? Do you base this statement on first hand knowledge?
DeleteI believe his daughters
DeleteGossip and rumors are just that gossip and rumors, which is sin, you’re not trying to reveal truth, you’re trying to drag others down to your level. People can ask questions that lead to truth but they aren’t, they are just stating “that they are.” No questions, just gossip. Silencing the “opposition” really isn’t a goal of mine, just like truth telling isn’t much of a goal for yourself. I’m ok with the name calling, mud slinging doesn’t hurt me at all especially when it’s just a way to spit out fallacy and if that’s your go to, have at it. Continue to neglect that you guys have been called out for flat out lying and you know it, and so does God. Calling one Priest a predator for actually doing what he’s accused of is one thing, calling another a Priest a slanderous name over rumors is just a pitiful tactic, it’s low, rotten, and slanderous. You are not trying to reveal truth, you are not even trying to spread truth, you’re just participating in sin and that’s very sad. Prayers for all especially those and their families whom have and are being lied about and have to deal with the chaos you guys are creating. May God forgive you.
DeleteAnon @ 6:39 yes
DeleteFr. Webb did know. He was in Florida with all the people who were directly involved in the Carole case.
DeleteIt's interesting. Right. All those names are all right there in the Carole documents. That was an interesting crew of people in Florida and Haiti too wasn't it? All those mission parishes in third world countries.
Comment at 6:45 do you believe the daughters because they told you directly?
DeleteIs Haiti the reason Matthew is on fbi watchlist? Haiti is a hotspot for certain appetites…..
DeleteFirst anon at 8:08 yes.

DeleteMy response is and was not towards what is happening in Fletcher. Frankly at the moment the battle right now is what we know and what has happened just on this website.
Matthew’s son in law was outed as a bad source with him giving a lot of contradictory information from what he told the editor in 2019 and what happened in Blountville 2024. We know he’s a pedophile. We know he and his wife attempted and for a while succeeded in keeping that matter under wraps.
We know the names who the matter was brought to. These names are all connected for a reason. They all knew of what Matthew did and they are attempting to do what they did in 2019 again. They are using you and your faith against you.
I cannot make you see the truth if you are not willing to hear them listen. The dogmatic casting out of people who are not like minded are the same reasons friends and family do not talk to eachother because of completely unrelated matters.
You wish to discuss fallacies and bias, but the only fallacies that are out are from your arguments. Like a man who had no idea why his wife would divorce him, this came out of no where, she’s just crazy, forget her then I did nothing wrong.
Again, to constantly use sin as a way to shut people down instead of communicating will only make the matters on both ends worse.
And then to attempt to hold a moral high ground without even trying to even consider the opposing parties own thoughts, is self reflective of who you are and what you stand for.
If you wish to live with a blissful lie that your priests. The people in power can do no wrong, then you have failed and are worshipping a false idol. Only one being is perfect.
Just simply entertain the question what if.
This question when asked on the accusers side, I have personally asked myself. But the Williams actions and the Church’s actions do not support the simple, What if we’re wrong and this whole thing is blown out of proportion?
Then ask what if the accusers are right. Even without the evidence and counter intelligence attempted by the Williams. Nothing that they do makes sense.
A controversial example.
If Elizabeth Williams is so traumatized by a man who turned to be a pedophile was her husband, why is she so ready to go dating again, per her Facebook posts.
That is not the actions of someone who just went through trauma. Why would you willingly put your daughters at an even greater risk of SA with the stats on stepfathers.
None of it makes sense.
If Matthew wasn’t a pedophile, why was he kicked out of their house for so long? Why was he so quickly whisked away from the church when news broke about what he did. These are not the actions of an innocent man.
Just ask the question, what if?
😲😲😲🍿
DeleteAnon @ 8:18, the Williams are the accusers in this case. You can't blow hot and cold in the same breath. Maybe, just maybe, the situation is complicated and Nathan has only gossip and what a kid told him years ago when he had only what Nathan had told him to go on. This entire thing is insane, and most people are operating on pure gossip. The good stuff will come out in court and we'll all know the truth.
DeleteDo you know this first hand from someone directly involved?
Delete8:18
DeleteThe Williams are the accused. The whole family.
Ok sure then let’s go off your talking points. Why would the emails corresponded with the editor from the son in law have conflicting information given? Why isn’t anything they do consistent of people who are innocent.
So who are the accusers? Who is Matthew being arrested for molesting?
DeleteFr Steven Webbs entire family left in one felt swoop and never turned back. He is a violent, unpredictable, scary human who has no regard for his fellow man. All this man cares about is his reputation and feeding his ego. One of his favorite past time is running around during trapaza bragging about how " people have written letters to the Metropolitan and nothing will be done"
DeleteParishioners of St Nicholas Parrish in Fletcher NC ask him to see the books from the last 10 years! Where has your money gone?
You are all being dooped by a con man.
Creepy Steven Webb
8:42
DeleteI do not know if you are taking the piss out of me right now or if you are genuinely curious.
2019 Carole Stephen’s daughter. Enough evidence to point to Him and his wife coercing her to not speak about it otherwise they would ruin her family.
2024 His own daughters. Which the warrant is out for.
So his own daughters are the accusers and the accused?
DeleteFr. Steven did know about the incident with the young woman, but did not know about Fr. Matthew's activity with his own children. This was not a secret, the incident with the 15 year old....many people knew about it. Fr. Steven always spoke (subtlety) very poorly of Fr. Matthew but didn't tell us why... now we know why he never liked him. He was powerless to do anything about the injustice. He was livid and disgusted when he found out about what Fr. Matthew had done to his own daughters. I saw his reaction personally. He certainly was not one of the people covering it up..
DeleteFr Matthew would hear Fr Stevens confession when he would visit the Parrish. P
Delete"Fr. Steven did know about the incident with the young woman, but did not know about Fr. Matthew's activity with his own children. DeleteAre you saying that he willingly stayed under a synod who was covering up child sex abuse????
What in the world???
8:42
DeleteI’m going to make this clear cut so you don’t have to follow back the pages of evidence Nathan has shown on his blog.
There are two cases being discussed.
Carol Stephen’s daughter is allegedly raped. HOWEVER, why would Matthew and Elizabeth deem it necessary to coerce and offer to buy their silence if it wasn’t true.
2024
ELIZABETH accuses Matthew of SAing their daughter/s.
Their actions that unfolded after news breaking is not consistent of a woman who is suffering. His actions are not consistent of someone innocent.
If gossip is a sin then what about worshipping false idols. These men of the cloth are still MEN. Their actions are theirs and theirs alone. To blame his actions on the devil is deflection of the highest order. The Lord gave you free will. It is what you do with it that determines what happens to you.
Jumping into what is happening now is like jumping into the middle of a long winded show with multiple seasons.
Go back, look and pay attention to the evidence. Not just the words of what the editor posts but the actual emails exchanged back and forth within the church and how they are attempting to sweep this crime against humanity under the rug.
Yes and?
DeleteTo those bashing the priest in X:
Delete(Insert moralist diatribe about how you have to accept behavior from clerics that you wouldn't tolerate from literally any normal adult in any other setting)
Signed,
Some guy with an impediment to further ordination
Very well said 6:39. The people who are spreading horrible lies about the Priest in Fletcher is disturbing. And for these same.people to piggy back their lies on to the tragedy occurring in Blountville is just another.level of Evil. All most want is transparency. We want to be able to ask questions and get so.e support. To try to use this to publicize their lies is just hurtful to victims.
ReplyDeleteIf you have questions, ask Fr. Mark Mancuso at (803) 600-0001
Delete8:15
DeleteLike someone else stated Fr. Mancuso is the equivalent to the churches Human Resources. Why would he give out information that can damage the church.
He probably won't. Can't hurt to ask though. It's his job.
DeleteHe won't answer he never responds to anything. Unless you kiss his butt
Delete7:23 it's not a lie to state that webb is living with a woman and her kids who isn't his wife and using church funds for her.
DeleteHe is not nor has not been living in the house with the family. She is employed by the church, not "using church finds". The way the story is being told is intentionally deceptive to make it seem like charity is sordidity.
DeleteThen why is the dean telling everyone he "told everyone who's not fr. Stephen to get out of the rectory "
DeleteHe said this in a room full of ppl
I have no idea the details of what Fr. Webb was or was not told was ok by his Bishop. None of us do.
DeleteThere's a recording of the dean
DeleteWe do not have recordings of every private conversation that occurs between a priest and his bishop.
Delete7:23 I assume you are one of Webbs yes men that will back him back him up until he is defrocked. Watch yourself with this one. He is not a good person and will turn on you in a second like a rabid cat. If you're not a part of the Sunday drinking crew, then you are nobody.
ReplyDeleteNever met the.man.
DeleteThen why are you staking so much on his reputation being perfect when you are arguing with people who have seen his actions?
DeletePiggybacking your complaints on the absolute nightmare these parishioners are living at Saint Tikhon to futher your personal issues is not right.
DeleteGet with Nathan on what the other issues you believe are taking place in Fletcher. Have him write a blog on that issue. I understand that these issues have a common denominator, MANCUSO! Maybe better Nathan should do an investigation on his failings and Headline that with his name and photo of his family.
8:15 Fr Mark doesn't care. He has been contacted about both issues numerous times. God save us
ReplyDeleteMancuso is a corrupt wanna be gangsta librarian. Many have come forward about Webb and the antics of his behavior, it would seem that he has evidence on him as well.
ReplyDelete@ 6:45
ReplyDeleteOh ok, reader A.
Who is reader A?
Delete924 you have never met Fr Steven Webb?
ReplyDeleteSo, recap:
ReplyDeleteAnyone who criticizes a priest is in sin
You shouldn't believe daughters who say their father molested them
Ecclesial due process is actually evil
Clericalism good
The canons are irrelevant
"YES, FATHER!"
Pretty much sums it up.
DeleteIt is against canons to pray with heretics and all those jurisdictions you mention pray with heretics just the same. You are not in the Orthodox Church if you pray with heretics because you become also a heretic. It doesn’t matter about their ‘baptisms’ either because there’s no baptism outside of the True Orthodox Church anyway. Rocor and anyone they are in communion with is NOT part of the True Church.
ReplyDeleteSo, anyone find the warrant yet?
ReplyDeleteYep
DeleteYes
DeleteWhere? Can you post copies or links?
DeleteNo, that's not how warrants work you have to meet with a detective.
DeleteI was wrong to doubt Nathan, he wouldn’t post this without fact checking.
DeleteYes there is a warrant.
Do you know if it has been served?
DeleteHe has not been located. I am assuming he not going to do the right thing and turn himself in to the Authorities. If he and his stead fast supporters knew he did nothing he would have already turned himself in. He has followers who will bankroll him hiding. These same people also gave him a clean bill of mental health when the investigator came in September. That whole relationship has a very weird dynamic. Those who hid him will have a bad time on judgement day. May God have Mercy on us all!
DeleteI wonder if there was another inappropriate relationship happening there...
DeleteA clean bill of mental health is probably more damaging to FMW than insanity.
11:54 Is that the inappropriate relationship with another woman that this blog is referencing?
Delete2:24 No, that's a mischaracterization on Nathan's part of FMW's abuse of an adult parishioner. @11:49 and 11:54 are referring to a family that funds and houses FMW.
Delete'BUT WE FIGHT ECUMENISM!'
ReplyDeletelol
